The idea that I was going to commit to spend an extra $525 for my three week stay, without having time to relax, maybe view the room and then decide is nonsense and annoying for a guest on arrival. In addition to this reception also seemed keen to get me to agree to an executive room upgrade at a “special” price of $25 extra per night. Instead of making me feel welcome the receptionist was keener to get paper work laboriously correct, checking /copying passport, preauthorising and deciding the amount on my AMEX card seem to take forever. I arrived at reception to check-in, just after midnight on a busy evening, following a 16 hour transatlantic journey. The downside has been highlighted by other reviews and in some ways this is a repetition. The hotel gym and health club were especially good. Rough pillow covers were never changed and the pillows with cotton covers were in the cupboard and also never changed? The room were a good size and its facilities good, Wi-Fi, toiletries etc.
Room service was good as also was housekeeping, though I couldn’t understand the pillow cover system. My stay represented excellent value for money.
